AI, Integrity & Your Future Grades 9–12 Academic Ethics Workshop
AI, Integrity & Your Future
Audience: High School (Grades 9–12)
Duration: 60–90 minutes
Format: Interactive workshop + ethics workbook
Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming how students learn, apply for opportunities, and build careers. However, many students are using AI tools without understanding the ethical implications or long-term consequences of how they are used.
AI, Integrity & Your Future is a critical thinking workshop designed to help students understand how artificial intelligence intersects with academic integrity, career readiness, and personal responsibility.
Students explore how AI systems are already influencing important life opportunities including college admissions screening, hiring algorithms, scholarship selection processes, and social media algorithms.
Rather than focusing on fear-based messaging about AI, the workshop teaches students how to think critically about responsible AI use. Students examine the difference between using AI as a tool that enhances learning versus using AI as a substitute that undermines skill development.
Participants analyze real-world case studies involving AI generated essays, AI assisted resumes, scholarship applications, and automated hiring systems. Through these scenarios, students learn to evaluate the ethical boundaries between assistance and replacement.
Students also develop their own Personal AI Code of Ethics, helping them create a framework for responsible technology use that they can apply throughout college, careers, and everyday life.
